RE: I am Proud to be on DHS hit list!
Noun 1. claptrap - pompous or pretentious talk or writing
blah, bombast, fustian, rant
grandiloquence, grandiosity, magniloquence, ornateness, rhetoric - high-flown style; excessive use of verbal ornamentation; "the grandiosity of his prose"; "an excessive ornateness of language"
nope , was trying to make a valid point of how 1 generation to the next has forgotten what it took to give them the freedoms they took for granted . also that the men and women that died for this country and our rights would do double back flips in their graves if they could see todays reaction by the American people and what we are and have allowed this government to do to us now.
Long Live WTSS !

I agree with you but the 'big picture' is a little more complicated. At least from my perspective.
Sometimes my postings are a little short and terse. But it is difficult to articulate my concept on these issues as my own experiences as a returning Vietnam Veteran has left a realistic and bitter concept. I understand the public/media berating and the political/economical use of our soldiers as fodder.
Been there, done that, no T-Shirt…
I was against the Iraq War from the beginning. We already had the Afghanistan War in motion with what ‘I thought’ was a clear objective to destroy Al-Qaida/Taliban and bring Osama to justice, one way or another. But instead we let the stinking ‘War Lords’ (thieves/drug lords/criminals/thugs/etc… ) do our job in Afghanistan while diverting resources to Iraq.
Who could not see the folly in this? Apparently ‘everyone’ in charge and their lemmings.
Iraq was contained and with a little more forceful oversight, the WMD Inspectors would continue to put pressure on WMD oversight.
So ‘YES’ I do have angst towards some of my fellow veterans that blindly supported the Bush dogma into a war that was poorly planned, woefully implemented, unnecessary and with no exit strategy.
The Gooberment always raises the rah-rah-flag to get people to sacrifice themselves for ‘GOD and Country’ all the while undermining both ‘GOD’ and Country!
